1986-1990: Raced in multiple 200 lap Enduro's
1991: Thunder car division, and finished 4th in the final points
1992: Derrick entered the Challenger division,finished 8th and won the Rookie of the Year title.
1993: In his second full year, Derrick won the Challenger division title and finished 6th in the Goodyear Challenger Cup.
1994: Derrick entered the late model sportsman division and finished 4th in the points and won the Rookie of the Year title.
1995: Derrick finished a close 2nd in the Late Model points. Derrick had 3 feature wins.
1996: Derrick competed in a limited schedule, won three more feature and was awarded the Most
Consistent Driver title.
1997: Derrick competed in 4 Cascar Super Series races. Derrick had 3 top 10's, was the highest
qualifying and finishing rookie in all the races he entered. When Derrick wasn't racing, he was head
mechanic for Kerry Mick's.
1998: In his first full season of the Cascar Super Series Derrick finished 13th in the points
and won the Rookie of the Year title. Finished 98.5% of the laps available. Tiemersma crew finished
2nd in the Cascar pit crew competition.
1999: Derrick's second full season of Cascar. Finished in 11th with 8 top 10's, 5 top 5's and
finished 15th in the Molson Indy-Miller 100. Team Tiemersma finished 4th in the Cascar pit crew competition.
2000: In a limited schedule, Derrick had 3 top 10's in 5 oval track races. Finished 18th in the Molson Indy
Exide StreetFight99.
2001: Return to the Alstar Late Model series. Won 17 qualifying races and 1 feature. 5th place finish
Alstar. Won the Best Appearing Crew and Best Appearing Car and most wins for any Alstar
driver that season.
2002: Derrick finished 5th in the points for a second straight season. Won 11 qualifying races, won the
late model feature race of Autumn Colors Classic.
2003: In Derrick's third full season of the Alstar Late Model series he finished a close 2nd in the
points. Derrick's finishing average was an amazing 6.7!
2004: Derrick and his crew finished 5th after a long battle for the Alstar Championship right down to the last race of the season. Derrick also won his first feature race of his Alstar Career, and finished 2nd in the 150 lap invitational race at Kawartha Speedway
2005: Derrick finished 2nd in the Alstar series with one feature win at Peterborough. Derrick also Won the Autmun Colors Classic for the 2nd time.
2006: Derrick finished 7th in the Alstar series and competed in various invitational races across Ontario, winning on of the segments of the Summer Sizzler at Kawartha Speedway
2007: OSCAAR Champion and Rookie of the year, 3 Feature wins, 8 heat wins, winner Don Biederman race
